INJURY UPDATES

10-day and 15-day IL

RHP (right ankle inflammation)
Expected return: Possibly late September
Lambert has had some ankle discomfort for a while, according to manager Pedro Grifol. The righty is 2-3 with a 5.26 ERA and one save in 35 games (one start) this season.

"It's something we want to address now, Grifol said. "It's on the turn [of his windup], not on the push-off." (Last updated: Sept. 4)

LHP (left shoulder inflammation)
Expected return: September
On July 21, Crochet was taken off his rehab assignment after feeling soreness in his shoulder. His soreness stemmed from his recovery from pitching, but it was diagnosed as a strain in his shoulder. On July 29, Crochet said he'll be shut down for two or three weeks and go to Arizona to rehab. He'll be re-evaluated at that point.

"I just want to take this comeback slow and don’t want to rush anything. I still plan to pitch at some point at the end of the year," Crochet said. "[I'm] just [resting] for now. Getting treatment, time off [from] throwing and doing some stability work. Trying to slowly restrengthen the area and ease back into throwing."

Crochet was placed on the injured list on June 20 (retroactive to June 17) with left shoulder inflammation. He’d allowed six runs on nine hits with six walks and one hit batter with 14 strikeouts in 8 1/3 innings for Triple-A Charlotte and Double-A Birmingham in his rehab stint. Crochet missed the '22 campaign while recovering from Tommy John surgery. (Last updated: July 29)
